Ridley's First Appearence

After 2 weeks of camp, and a lot of other pointless stuff, I'm finally back on track!  I wish I could have posted earlier, but there was nothing to say because I barely got anything done.  Now that my scedual is clean, I hope to get more done and finish Ceres.

As you know, Ceres' rooms are all complete, along with the escape timer.  That only leaves one thing left, Ridley.  This guy will not be too hard to program, but may be a challenge to make look good.  With that said, I will announce that I may be changing Ridley's attack cycle.  He may be more mobile, and use different breath and body attacks.  Some of these would include a spread of flames and dropping from the celing to "smash" Samus.  None of this is clear yet, so please give your opinions in the comments area below.  Here is a glimpse of what ridly will look like in ceres:

    Your Ridley blends with the environment much better than the original.

  5. Speaking on a totaly different subject but maybe one could make the rooms in old brinstar and tourian a bit mor darker by adding mist just as you have done for the space colony. Plus also (attempting) to make the blocks with the scary faces on turn to face samus when she gets the morph ball and when she exits old brinstar. But still great work with the atmosphere for the colony, this is exactly what a great super metroid remake consists off, Good Job.

  6. you should make him not only drop from the ceiling but also charge at samus like super unexpectedly, idk, I just want to play this only part on Ceres, you should make it your demo if you weren't already planning on it...

  18. Ok, good idea, great image, but, this is the last post? there's not any advance, if you don't post something new, I will keep in mind thath this project is DEAD. Please, this was a good remake, continue it. All people thinks that.

    1. It is dead, it's been 6 years since this was posted, unless he's working on it secretly, but if he was it would've probably been finished by now.

    3. Well, AM2R Took like a decade, so maybe, just maybe, although very likely not, he is still working on it. I highly doubt it though.

  19. I love metroid series. I discovered it in '06,I am really happy to find this superb series. Metroid other M, is one of the best game of game school ever. I bought it from at PIJ,its really superb!

Kenji Imatake here, I'd actually like to restart this project (I still have all the assets and everything ready) just need a team, especially a programmer as my own programming skills are extremely limited and I'm mainly a graphic and room designer.
